Manna Food Bank will hold an Open House event on Tuesday, October 7, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, at 3030 North E Street in Pensacola. The event is free and open to the public.
The community is invited to a behind-the-scenes look at Manna’s facility – a unique, hybrid food bank/food pantry model – where visitors can tour the warehouse and client service spaces, meet Manna staff and current volunteers, and learn more about Manna’s mission. Manna operates an emergency food assistance pantry at the location, supports 18 food security programs with 25 community partners, and accepts and distributes hundreds of thousands of pounds of food each year.
Manna is a local, grassroots nonprofit organization whose mission is to offer emergency food assistance, service the food-related needs of vulnerable populations, and engage the entire community in the fight against hunger. Manna has no affiliations with larger feeding networks and receives no government funds. Thanks to the support and generosity of Northwest Florida community members, faith organizations, foundations, and businesses, Manna has been a direct-service provider to hungry neighbors in need in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties for more than 42 years.
