Community Gears up to Tackle Hunger with Manna and WEAR 3 during Souper Bowl of Caring

Manna, in collaboration with WEAR 3, invites the community to tackle hunger during the 2025 Souper Bowl of Caring food drive event this weekend. The Souper Bowl of Caring is a nationwide movement set to use the energy surrounding the championship football game to engage communities in addressing food insecurity. Food and financial gifts received during the event will be used to provide meals to feed neighbors in need through Manna’s pantry and food security programs in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

On Friday, February 7, from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m., WEAR 3 will host a Souper Bowl of Caring food drive at Walmart, 4600 Mobile Highway, collecting nonperishable food and funds for Manna to help neighbors in need in Northwest Florida. WEAR 3 is encouraging the public to join them in the fight against hunger by donating Manna’s most needed nonperishable food items.

Manna’s most needed items include:

Canned Tomatoes (20 oz. or less)

Canned Vegetables (20 oz. or less)

Peanut Butter (2 lb. jars or less and to-go cups)

Canned Tuna or Chicken (12.5 oz. or less)

Fruit Cups (in 100% juice, peel-off tops)

Canned Fruit (in 100% juice, 20 oz. or less)

Financial contributions for WEAR 3’s Souper Bowl of Caring food drive can be made by visiting https://www.mannahelps.org/donate/money/ and checking the box to ‘Donate to Souper Bowl of Caring to feed people in need.’

Following WEAR 3’s Souper Bowl of Caring food drive, the public is invited to get in on the action by hosting their own Souper Bowl of Caring food drive and dropping off nonperishable food donations to Manna. The public can deliver donations directly to Manna, 3030 North E Street, on Sunday, February 9, from 10am-noon.
