Manna receives $15,000 grant from Truist

Pensacola, FL (August 24, 2020) – Manna Food Bank Inc. recently received a $15,000 grant from Truist Financial Corporation as part of its Truist Cares* initiative to support Manna’s COVID-19 response and recovery efforts.

Florida Blue donates $40,000 to the Manna Cares Campaign

Pensacola, FL (July 17, 2020) – In support of Manna’s COVID-19 response and recovery efforts, Florida Blue has made two contributions to the Manna Cares Campaign – a fundraiser benefitting Manna Food Bank – totaling $40,000. Florida Blue has committed more than $7 million to COVID-19 community investments across the state to provide access to testing and health care, food security and other essential needs.

Bear Family Foundation donates $50,000 to the Manna Cares Campaign

Pensacola, FL (May 14, 2020) – The Bear Family Foundation together with Bud Light Seltzer recently made a $50,000 contribution to the Manna Cares Campaign – a fundraiser benefitting Manna Food Bank. The family foundation, which has supported Manna’s mission for several years, made the gift in support of Manna’s COVID-19 response and recovery efforts.

Escambia and Santa Rosa County credit unions unite in support of Manna Cares Campaign

Pensacola, FL (May 11, 2020) – Eight Escambia and Santa Rosa County credit unions have made a collective $57,500 contribution to the Manna Cares Campaign – a fundraiser benefitting Manna Food Bank. Gulf Winds Credit Union, Pen Air Federal Credit Union, Harvesters Federal Credit Union, Members First Credit Union of Florida, My Pensacola Credit Union, Santa Rosa County Federal Credit Union, Central Credit Union of Florida, and Gulf Power Company Employees Credit Union made the gift in support of Manna’s COVID-19 response and recovery efforts.

Manna and Rotary team up to fight hunger on February 22

Pensacola, FL (February 18, 2020) – Rotary Clubs of Escambia and Santa Rosa counties will once again join Manna in the fight against hunger on Saturday, February 22. Rotary Against Hunger is a project of the Combined Rotary Clubs of Pensacola (CROP) that launched in 2012. The 9th Annual Rotary Against Hunger service project will create more than 50,000 meals that will be donated to Manna for distribution through Manna’s programs and pantries in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

Allen Turner Hyundai employees’ donations surpass the 100,000-meal mark for Manna

Pensacola, FL (January 28, 2020) – Allen Turner and the employees of Allen Turner Hyundai recently presented a check to Manna, as they do annually, bringing their total donations since 2012 to more than $185,000. Their donations are the equivalent of more than 110,000 healthy meals for neighbors in need in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

Accepting participants now for 2020 Souper Bowl Sunday benefiting Manna

Pensacola, FL (January 14, 2020) – On Sunday, February 2, Manna will host the 2020 Souper Bowl of Caring at Manna Food Pantries, 3030 North E Street. Souper Bowl of Caring is a national event set to use the energy surrounding The Super Bowl to engage communities in the fight against hunger. Food and financial gifts received during the event will be used to provide meals to feed neighbors in need through Manna’s pantries and programs in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

Fill the Mayflower 2019 provides 90,000 meals for neighbors in need

Pensacola, FL (November 27, 2019) – The Northwest Florida community generously donated food and funds during the 2019 Fill the Mayflower event. The area’s largest multi-day food drive, Fill the Mayflower supports the operations of Manna Food Pantries. Donations from Fill the Mayflower will provide 90,000 meals to neighbors in need in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. The event is made possible by Coastal Moving and Storage, Cat Country 98.7, NewsRadio 92.3/AM 1620, and WEAR Ch. 3 News.

The Clover Pick A Bowl Fill A Bowl raised more than $40,000 for Manna to feed the hungry

(September 16, 2019) – The Clover Pick A Bowl Fill A Bowl raised more than $40,000 for Manna thanks to the generosity of several local sponsors, artists, restaurants/vendors, donors, and event attendees. The money raised will provide more than 24,000 meals for neighbors in need in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

The Clover Pick A Bowl Fill A Bowl event on September 6 will benefit Manna

Pensacola, FL (August 26, 2019) – Manna invites the community to join them in the fight against hunger at this unique fundraiser with an artsy twist! The Clover Pick A Bowl Fill A Bowl will be held on Friday, September 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Lou Ross Center of Pensacola State College. Tickets are $40 apiece and can be purchased online at www.mannahelps.org. For each ticket sold, Manna will provide 24 healthy meals to neighbors in need.

Local First Responders Going on a “Donut Strike” to Feed Neighbors in Need

Pensacola, FL (June 12, 2019) – The Pensacola Police Department (PPD), Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) and Pensacola Fire Department (PFD) are going on strike against their beloved donuts Wednesday, June 26 through Friday, June 28 to support Manna. During the Donut Strike, first responders have vowed not to devour a single donut until 20,000 pounds of food has been donated to fight hunger in the local area, the equivalent of 26,600 meals.

Escambia and Santa Rosa Letter Carriers to Hold 27th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

On Saturday, May 11, 2019, the letter carriers of Escambia and Santa Rosa counties will join forces to help Stamp Out Hunger in our community. In its 27th year, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ (NALC) annual food drive has grown to be the largest national single-day effort that benefits millions of Americans who struggle to put food on the table.

Harvesters Federal Credit Union to host Let’s Feed Somebunny benefitting Manna

8th Annual All Krewe Humanitarian Award Food Drive Challenge to benefit Manna
