Florida Blue has committed more than $7 million to COVID-19 community investments across the state to provide access to testing and health care, food security and other essential needs.

Pensacola, FL (February 18, 2020) – Rotary Clubs of Escambia and Santa Rosa counties will once again join Manna in the fight against hunger on Saturday, February 22. Rotary Against Hunger is a project of the Combined Rotary Clubs of Pensacola (CROP) that launched in 2012. The 9th Annual Rotary Against Hunger service project will create more than 50,000 meals that will be donated to Manna for distribution through Manna’s programs and pantries in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
Pensacola, FL (January 28, 2020) – Allen Turner and the employees of Allen Turner Hyundai recently presented a check to Manna, as they do annually, bringing their total donations since 2012 to more than $185,000. Their donations are the equivalent of more than 110,000 healthy meals for neighbors in need in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
Pensacola, FL (January 14, 2020) – On Sunday, February 2, Manna will host the 2020 Souper Bowl of Caring at Manna Food Pantries, 3030 North E Street. Souper Bowl of Caring is a national event set to use the energy surrounding The Super Bowl to engage communities in the fight against hunger. Food and financial gifts received during the event will be used to provide meals to feed neighbors in need through Manna’s pantries and programs in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
Pensacola, FL (November 27, 2019) – The Northwest Florida community generously donated food and funds during the 2019 Fill the Mayflower event. The area’s largest multi-day food drive, Fill the Mayflower supports the operations of Manna Food Pantries. Donations from Fill the Mayflower will provide 90,000 meals to neighbors in need in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. The Clover Pick A Bowl Fill A Bowl will be held on Friday, September 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Lou Ross Center of Pensacola State College. Tickets are $40 apiece and can be purchased online at www.mannahelps.org. For each ticket sold, Manna will provide 24 healthy meals to neighbors in need.
Pensacola, FL (June 12, 2019) – The Pensacola Police Department (PPD), Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) and Pensacola Fire Department (PFD) are going on strike against their beloved donuts Wednesday, June 26 through Friday, June 28 to support Manna. During the Donut Strike, first responders have vowed not to devour a single donut until 20,000 pounds of food has been donated to fight hunger in the local area, the equivalent of 26,600 meals.
On Saturday, May 11, 2019, the letter carriers of Escambia and Santa Rosa counties will join forces to help Stamp Out Hunger in our community. In its 27th year, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ (NALC) annual food drive has grown to be the largest national single-day effort that benefits millions of Americans who struggle to put food on the table.
